WHY IT'S SPECIAL:
- Using vintage materials sourced from secondhand stores, this brooch is a beautiful homage to the New Zealand Huia bird, that is now extinct
- During pre-European times, wearing of these distinguished Huia feathers were reserved for chiefs of high rank and their whanau(family)
